I don't care if this is a fixtures, if ever there was something that deserved to be on here multiple times it has to be this.

Pedant alert.

I don't think lunging forward to catch a looping ball dropping down from 7 foot is hardly impressive
sorry

Whereas, if he'd managed to get his considerable bulk to perform a Jerome Simpson TD somersault, then THAT would be impressive!

So the cricket commentating world laudes this up as one of the finest catches ever, and within six replies on NSC, four are disagreeing or complaining about it

I was going to suggest this as an alternative 'great play'. No doubt the play of the season in the NFL.

You sound surprised.

Got to love the Bermuda one.

I'm sure it would happen in most sports, if not all. Next time you hear some commentator cream themselves at the latest Premiership goal as being the "greatest goal ever" stick it up on here and see how many alternatives you get. The "best" is always going to be hugely subjective.

When the chap knocked the ball back, it looked over the line, even though not on the the floor of course, I assume that still means it's in play as long as the fielder himself is in play!

Looks easier than it is as well. To jump in the air, catch it and throw it to another fielder... Unlucky batsman.

Don't think it needs 2 minutes of repeating and I can't find a shorter one but this one of Pontings is one of my favourites from recent test cricket...
