To be fair to GBK they did kick off the gormet burger craze, but it's just that so many are now doing it far better. I won't be returning.

I've found on my last couple of visit to the Troll that the execution hasn't quite lived up to the billing. I admire what he's doing though withe the local, seasonal stuff and any criticism is extremely minor and feels like nitpicking.

Samsons was always very good. I used to love their bacon and blue cheese burger. It was a great old restaurant that. White wine vinegar on the chips, and the pickle tray......

samsons got closed down by the health people. but how far ahead of the gourmet burger craze were they its untrue, like leonardo da vinci drawing helicopters in the olden days.

Uncle Sams when there was only 2 shops , Oriental Place and near St Peters Church, very tasty, I went to one in Eastbourne near the hospital recently and the burger tasted nothing like the old Uncle Sams burgers from Brighton.
