A couple of years ago, while clearing out a kitchen cupboard, I was delighted to find an unopened jar of pickled onions. Made my day.

My old car. A Pug 406 coupe. 3l v6 one with all the optional extras. Was for sale for 400 quid 7 years ago with running issues and lack of power.

Had a look at it. And bought it for 350. The air feed pipe had collapsed so it wasn't getting enough air. 25 quid for a new pipe from a scrappy and it ran like a dream. Sold it for 1100 quid 4 years ago.

I bought a Honda Civic a few years ago for £700 with a private number plate. I sold the number plate a couple of months later for £850.

2 boxes , 48 bottles in each box of VO5 thicken up shampoo , my partner used it and said they had stopped making the this type for some reason but at the time it was apparently extremely popular , i saw the boxes at a boot sale took a chance and paid £15 for each box , within 3 months it was pretty clear the shops that stocked them had now run out so i put 2x bottles up for sale at a test the water £10 buy now on ebay , they sold instantly so over the next few weeks i sold the lot with a total profit of £376 after postage costs .
