Fair point, they were phenomenal. But they don't have a creative genius like TT do, so I wouldn't say they were as good.

Sorry TCB I don't mean to be rude but are you teapot?

Another vote for pearl jam. Saw them a couple of times in the 90s and they were awesome.

Also Faith No More.

Struggling to pick one but Blur, The Charlatans, Oasis, Radiohead and Nirvana would be my choices off the top of my head..

My mate, who is also an Albion Season ticket holder but doesn't post on NSC, is a PEARL JAM FANATIC! He goes all over the world to see then (about 10 times a year!)

I have never seen them (being a Black Eyed Peas / Greenday man myself - saw them both this year :) ) would I be right in thinking they are a grunge band?

Er, Take That?

Eight number ones in the decade and the defining track in Back For Good. Doubt anyone can better that cv.

both Westlife and Spice Girls in the 90s , defining track is a matter of opinion I guess , like alot of TTs early stuff but it's roughly 50/50 good to shit with them- the proper early stuff was toilet

Yeah. Came out of the Seattle grunge scene with Nirvana, Soundgarden et al. PEarl Jam (and specifically Eddie Vedder) are without doubt the real McCoy. They're a very good shout.

This is my fave Eddie Vedder song (re-interpretation of the Beatles classic on an album called I Am Sam - a fantastic album of Beatles re-interpretations. There isn't one album filler on the whole 20 tracks. A classic):
