Best atmosphere at Withdean ever

Today I generally feel that was the best atmosphere ever at Withdean,everyone was fired up for the game,nothing gets the crowd going more than a little hatred for the opposition after their diving SHANNANAGINS (however you spell it).

Several times we sung 'Albion' and it sounded great going round the ground,and there was one point where Dean Hammond was down and the players went over to get their drinks at the bench when they were greeted with a huge reception by ALL of the South Stand!

A great way to have the first game back to start a new season,and knowing that Falmer is closer than it's ever been. Fantastic support everyone of the 5137 of you there today and if we keep this up,we'll continue our reign as Best Fans in England.

I thought in the second half the atmos was good. Elphik getting the south stand going a bit different to El Abds wanker signs last season.

no where near the best atmosphere ever but made a difference with the fans getting behind the team in the second half think we have a No 4 and 23 from Northampton to thank for that. Quiet a usual in the first half tho

I'm a bit lashed up, but not in a million years was that the best atmos at Withdean ever... there are dozens of games where the atmosphere would piss all over today. Now if you'd said it's the best atmosphere since in over a season, then maybe i can see the point...

it didnt help that we were crap in the first half.

As far as the atmos goes it was better than average today. But we can build on that. the most impotant thing is we need bums on seats. the east stand was embarasing today

The family stand is usually chocka because of local clubs or schools being invited. But school holidays still so family stand was relatively empty.

Piss poor effort too from Northampton.
