Bad Religion aswell Redders, although they probably fall into the same bracket as "started in the 80's"

What about the VERVE for fucks sake!

urban hyms was a quality album but unless they offered something original, the strengths of one album would never be enough.

from that list i would go for radiohead as pablo honey, the bends and ok computer were class. but then came the strange stuff.
if their 1st album was not in 89 then the stone roses.
and where is REM?

personally i would class the pixies as an 80's band. they were big whilst the smiths were still about.

Just wait til they do the best band of the new millenium poll soon.

My vote will of course go to "Richie Morris and the Delayed Fanzines"

true but they kept going. releasing imo, their better hits in the 90's. but yes they must be classed as an 80's band then.

Red Hot Chilli peppers have been going since the 80's as I watched a documentery on them they had a band member die of a overdose in 1988. But they had their better hits in the 90's onwards. But I am surprised they are in there???

Surprised Take That are not in there?

My vote goes for Prodigy.

Yes, but they made at least TWO brilliant albums.

Anyway, the list was a f***ing joke, yes.

Missy and Dre are both brilliant but meant NOTHING in the UK in the '90s.

Meanwhile, there's no Chemical Brothers. One of THE defining acts of the decade.

Utter shite.

Possibly not there due to the inclusion of The Prodigy? This poll seems to have completely ignored anything to do with rave culture, the lack of Orbital says a lot.

Yeah, they implied only one of Chemical Brothers, Underworld and The Prodigy were 'allowed' to make the final list.

Fixed list = shite programme. End of.

fully agreed with this i have to vote Prodigy as they are the only rave based band the music shaped the 90s

theres no arguement that music for the jilted generation is a classic of our time.

but no chemical brothers, underworld odd who chose the ten in the list
