Liverpool 1 Brighton 2 on the way to the Cup Final. A game we had no hope of winning, we were in deep relegation trouble in the league, Liverpool were up at the top and had not lost ANY cup game at home, including European ones since the 60's. Total disbelief as we took the lead, resigned shrugs as we lost it, total disbelief again as we retook the lead within a minute. Liverpool then totally dominated and played the rest of the game in and around our penalty area, missed a penalty and the Albion left the field to ecstatic disbelieving hysteria from the Albion fans and applause from the Liverpool fans. No game, Highbury semi final, 2 finals or the play off in Cardiff came close for me, just maybe Newcastle away to win promotion to the top level competes imo.

Either Newcastle away in 1979 when we got promoted to the top division, or the 1983 semi-final at Highbury against Sheff Wed.

Haven't been able to get to many away games but the ones I will remember are:

Play-off final (Obviously)

Sheffield United Jan 2005 - The game after the Spurs FA Cup match which I couldn't make. Home end packed with us Albion fans up in the top tier, will always remember the moment Little Leon tucked away that 93rd minute goal to make it 2-1:thumbsup:

Promotion to Div.1, May 1979 at St James' Park with 10,000 others. 3-0 up at half-time, took us 4 days to get back to Brighton (Hove actually).
Go along with that!! Remember getting to the ground late (God bless the old Seagull Special!) and we were 1 up by then . Journey back was good as well!

Bradford last season was ACE, but personally a 2-1 away win at Feethams in about 1999 or 98, it was my first away game without my old man and me and a friend went from school. we went one down but came back to win with Harty and Minton scoring I think.

We won 5 away games on the trot in that run but then lost to Orient 4-2 away in the cup when we took 3 or 4k to bribane road.

honest fourth divison football in the mud. happy days for me.

Anfield for the 2-2 in the Cup (91?)
Hereford
Palace 2005

Can't choose between them, each great for their own reasons.

reading away at elm park under coppell, took the piss big time before and after the game, after the game over 100 of us took over a pub and the old bill came in and closed it down and gave us a escort back to the station on the way back we thought we had run into reading at another pub but it turned out to be more BHA although it was to late for some who got nicked for being a bit to keen to get stuck in

Apart from the obvious Palace and Hereford games.......

Plymouth Away when we got promoted from division 4 and about 17 results went our way, Brooker scored a screamer too.

Chesterfield away last season, won a scrappy game 1-0, and Wilkins did his speech at the end of the match

Cheltenham away last season - drunk an 8 pack of strongbow between Brighton and Cheltenham

Didnt find the Play Off final that great, match was boring (but nervy), and the atmosphere was poor where I was, some guy even had a go at me asking me why I was standing up singing a silly song - the silly song was Sussex by the Sea, which was being played on the PA system at the time

Bournemouth away in the fa cup, pissing hard with rain, lost 4.2 but had a pitch invasion at half time to liven things up a bit;)

Newcastle signing along with us, because it prevented Sunderland from being promoted.

Hereford.

Perterborough "the San Siro day"

Chester 7-1, I only decided to go to that one, because I had a feeling something was going to happen that day, got a taxi to Kings Cross, ran for train, got it and the rest is history.

2 Wembley outings in 83.

Coming back from Torquay, with a pre ordered curry in First Class with Albion fans in all stages of drunkeness.

Various trips from god forsaken places in the north, including meeting some stunning women, who had just left, their "cons" doing time and were amazingly fit and flirty.

The M Adams third division promotion last week!

Working backwards

Away at Shrewsbury Their fans coming onto the pitch to celebrate with us, we taking their Directors box,

Away at Halifax, their fans coming onto the pitch to celebrate with us, the draw also kept them up! Us signing "You're not going down"

Chesterfield at home on that great Tuesday night and was it Bristol the Saturday before, with Steele's off side goal!!
