Edit: Far too many great gigs going back almost 50 years to pick just three, so I'll randomly select one from the early days, one for the middle and one recent

Lynyrd Skynyrd, original line up at the Dome, mid 70s
Love, with Arthur Lee, Canterbury festival, late 90s
Drab Majesty, Dingwalls, 2020

The Cult
Foo Fighters

and........not a band but solo singer.......

Robbie Williams!

Not for his singing prowess but just for having a great stage presence and being a great entertainer.

West is BEST
Rollins Band (Brixton Acadamy I think, the 1997 Get Some Go Again tour with Mother Superior replacing the previous Rollins Band. Mind blowing)

The Flaming Lips - Brighton Centre 2002. Just a great night out.

Giant Sand - The Old Market. Tremendous musicians. Tremendous frontman.

Honourable mentions for Tom Waits, Blondie, Gorillaz, Black Flag, LCD Soundsystem, Jane’s Addiction, and AC/DC

Queen Wembley 86 i think
Quireboys - some club in london about 88
David Byrnie - American Utopia tour

A lot of the best gigs ive been to are not by the best artists with the best songs, but bands and performers who know how to structure a set, have frontmen who know how to work the crowd and have a connection between the artist and audience.
