Bendy bus to Falmer?

Just read the article it shows how propenganda becomes fact.

The bendy buses actually had a better safety than other buses on the same routes, there were actually less accidents with cyclists and of course were fantastic for families with children, and people with disabilities etc

But they're not BRITISH.

Double decker buses are British.

How would the bendy get around the tight roundabout at the University at the end of the route? It wouldn't work, surely? Was the bendy on the route today, did anyone go on it? Had I known a bit earlier, I would have. :down:

My dad is a bit of a bus nerd and I've developed the skill over the years, but to be fair, the chance to sit at the back of a bendy in Brighton... that's worth doing.

Increasing fares on the tube, whilst scrapping part of the congestion charge.

Apparently they need to save money because less people are using the tube.

He's great fun by the way.

Poorly made buses (may sound like a bus perve here but its my job), always catching fire in the articulation.

Is the correct answer. Colleagues in London Fire Brigade would recommend selecting a seat near a door. :thumbsup:

Wasn't that all back when they first came out around 2003/04 ?
Has they're been more in recent times ?

Between December 2003 and March 2004 there were three fires which were identified as being caused by an engine fault.

The fault was fixed and there hasn't been an incident since.

That picture is of a hydro bus on fire not a bendy bus!:lol:
 


The fare issue could be resolved by: enforcing that everyone who enters the bus must record in, even holders of weekly, monthly and yearly oysters. This is common pratice in European cities. Would help TfL to track passenger movements.

Or have a ticket inspector permanetly on board.

ah no?

Only people with day pass must record in on the bendies!

Therefore you can only susoect the cheats not know.

I remember once in Vienna, I didn't log in, several passengers, informed me of such, one then told the driver!!

I know London's different, but if we all have to log in, as you do with normal buses and tubes, then the fare dodgers would stand out and not be hidden away en masse.
