Duo join Yeovil's backroom staff

Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton has added to his backroom staff ready for the new season by appointing a new goalkeeping coach and club physio.

Former Middlesbrough and Brighton keeper Ben Roberts joins the staff and will also act as chief scout.

Former reserve player Simon Baker, who works at Yeovil General Hospital, is the new physiotherapist.

Meanwhile, midfielder Paul Warne expects to sign a new contract with the club by the end of June.

The 36-year-old told the Western Gazette: "I am not a million miles away from signing and hope to sign before we come back for pre-season training."

Baker is no stranger to Huish Park and has recently been working with midfielder Darren Way in his recovery from a serious car accident last year.

New goalkeeping coach Roberts played in the 1997 FA Cup final for Middlesborough against Chelsea, before retiring at the age of 29 due to injury.

Good luck to him, shame injury ended his time with us but he's probably the best and most consistent goalkeeper I've seen in the blue and white in the last 7-8 years.

Crap Town
Ben was a solid keeper , pity that the back injury ended his professional playing career
