Agree Sheffield look very strong. Anel Ahmedhodžić IMO is a top, top class defender and I was surprised to see them sign him. Overall they look strong.

Brereton is a really interesting one. No one was reportedly willing to go much above £10m on him, but he may have been available for £15m.

Leeds, Everton, West Ham and Fulham were all sniffing about but no one jumped in. I think he represents a biggish punt for a Premier League side, clubs would want to see him reach the next level if they forked out for him. I think our scouts may have gone cold on the idea.

If Gerrard knew what he was doing he might have gone after him to play alongside one of Ings / Watkins. The bloke would naturally find the space not currently being filled because Ings and Watkins are invariably played together and make the same runs, which also confuses Coutinho.
