Sick note.

No thanks (not there would be anything real in terms of interest anyway)
Sure but its a very safe deal. One year loan as a backup for Pervis, then replaced by Barco next summer.

Chelsea have made their desire to get rid of him clear and as such they can't ask for much money. Might not even have to cover the entirety of his wages.

Don't think it will happen, but if there is a late transfer surprise I could see this being the one.

I couldn’t. We don’t need him.

Our Left Back situation will be:

1. Estupiñán
2. Kadıoğlu
3. Boscagli
4. March
5. Hinshelwood

Just one purchase and one player back from injury needed.

I just really don’t see how he fits into the squad. He can only play LB/LWB, where we have Pervis.

But we also have Ferdi who is natural there, as well as cover in Hinshelwood and Baleba who have been tried there but can crucially cover other positions, in an already bloated squad where were struggling for registration space.

Add to that his constant - and I mean constant injury issues, huge wages, and that I’m not sure he’d want to come and be told he’s being brought in as backup for a mid-table team.

I think it would be a shock move, in all the wrong ways.

Chilwell and Reguilon are both available - both quality left backs who would add great depth to our squad. Not really sure if we need one, with Pervis to return and hopefully be first season Pervis and not Disaster-artist Pervis from last season. Maybe take no risks and get a specialist left back in just in case he's useless now.

If Lamptey goes, Kadioglu could focus exclusively on playing to the right (with Veltman as backup) and then we have two natural LBs in Pervis and Chilwell. Don't think Boscagli will come, no clue on the status of March and Hinshelwood should not be high up the ranks as a left back.

Chelsea have numerous surplus players that they are paying a fortune for including Chilwell and Stirling. Why on earth would we or anyone else help them out of the hole they have dug for themselves by taking one of their unwanted players off them and so ease their liabilities.
Let’s let Chelsea struggle and ultimately drown in their own cesspit of immoral financial shenanigans.
So, no thanks.

Has been suggested by this source. Assume not very reliable

This will be nonsense too. Chelsea, desperate to offload high earning players not in the new manager’s plan. ‘Let’s link him to Brighton and then some team is bound to try and gazump them’.
Soon they’ll have 50 odd players on seven year, 5m a year contracts and realise they can only have 24 in their squad.
What a shitshow!

Kadıoğlu signed as a RB, Boscagli signed as a CB, March doubtful and not an LB, Hinshelwood not an LB.

We do need him, I think it would be a great signing. It won't happen though and these rumours are nonsense.

We are not stupid enough to take on the Chavvy sicknote but if Todd wants to swap Colwill for Evan, would TB take the gamble? Would you want us to...im in! But will never happen? Would be good to hear others thoughts...good or bad. My argument for wanting it is as I said on another thread earlier, Evan is good but Colwill is VERY GOOD and in an area where we need strengthening now or very near future.

I don't think we're in the market for someone who can only play 20 mins a season.
You see, Lallana was often out injured too so the joke here is that Chilwell would be replacing him in the treatment room which would be a silly aspiration for the club to have.

Disagree. Both great players, but Ferguson, on the assumption that he can regain past form is Rooneyesque and will be worth a LOT more $$$. That is a harder position to find players for in any case.

Would be a quality signing always liked him. Seems a no brainer to me, we help Chelsea get a player of their books to help them comply with PSR and we get a high quality England international full back, everyone's a winner.

Exactly this, are we really going to bring in a player currently on over £200k a week for back up?

No chance of this one...
