Today Brighton & Hove Albion FC had a march outisde the Brighton Center, to urge John Prescott into giving them permission for a new stadium at Falmer. Facilities at our current lodgings are not good enough.

If only we still had the Goldstone.

I hope you do not mind me sending you this email, but I thought I ought to let you know how the club is coping.. After all I believe you used to have an interest in it.

It has been a long.. very long ride for this club. We almost died.. but thankfully our current chairman Mr Dick Knight has done a sterling job. We are now in the English Championship.. the second tier of english football. We have no real home, no money, no finances, but we are there none the less. We take each season as it comes - a never say die spirit. The last time we were relegated from this league it went down to the last day of the season.

So, why am I bothering you by emailing this?

Well, firstly as I have said, because I thought you may have an interest. Secondly because I wondered whether you believe Brighton 'deserve' or should I say 'need' a stadium in Falmer.

I know you rarely comment on issues regarding B&HA but I'd be very interested in your responce.

Well done on the march everyone. Unfortunately Mrs Wild Years had to go into hospital today, but we were both there in spirit.
