Bellamy - Why on earth would you sign him?

If you are trying to build a team to challenge for honours why would you sign the most cancerous of all individuals to play in it? IMHO he'll destroy any cameraderie within 3 months - especially when he realises how mediocre he is when compared to the great names that they may sign.

Seems like Man City have the money but not the know how...

last time he played under Hughes he scored a goal every 1.86 games, which is very good. So I think he is a quick fix and will become second or third choice in the summer.

Because he's good? Footballers are judged almost exclusively by their on-field talents, so this is no surprise.

Belamy is the most hated man in East London at the moment, West Ham HAVE to sell him now the fans hate him which is a shame as I think he is a god player.

i dont know why they have bought him. if i were mark hughes i would just blow millions on players who have a proven track record and you know are going to perform consistently. chelsea when they first got a bit of money went about buying a few unproven players e.g. mutu and didnt have the best of seasons that year.

he's quite a good player, what ever you think of the person. would do a job in any team, but thats all, he's a squad player for a top team. we'll see.

Saw an interview with Harry Redknapp and he pretty much slated spurs fans who were bombarding message boards/phone ins with their disgust at being linked with him. He basically said that he's a top quality player and exactly what spurs need at the moment. Mark Hughes must think the same about Man City and he knows him well from his time as Wales manger so I think he'll be able to get him on the straight and narrow.

Average I'd say. And he seems to be a little disruptive at most places he's been at.
