Just managed to finish watching all the episodes of this series and at the end it said about Lucas Leiva having a deep thigh muscle injury which will keep him out for a fair bit of the season. Is this by anychance the same sort of injury which Vicente might have ?

i'll wait to be lambasted but i reckon 95% of vince's issues are above his shoulders.........get rid , move on , sorry..........it's become a massive piss take in my opinion.

I agree with this to an extent, but it does make me wonder if insisting on the extra year clause may have been a factor in his issues.

Do we have a duty of care?

he agreed to the extra year clause at the out-set no...? it's time for him to man the f*** up and get out on the pitch.......incredibly disappointing , i bet tony bloom is quietly f***ing livid........public relations/perception nightmare.

Not entirely sure of the exact circumstances Syders, only he wanted to be off to Elche in the summer so we enforced the extra year, which I believe we weren't going to do. Elche turned his head we told them to f*** off, him to stay and now he has a mystery injury.

Poor move to enforce the extra year, IMO. Of course contracts are there to protect the club, but you have to balance that against Vicente's fragile state of mind and body.

The only time we heard about Elche was from his agent and, as I understood it, Elche hadn't got the money to buy him anyway. I would imagine the doctor is giving the club a regular update on his condition whether it is physical or mental.

I was under the impression that he was officially "out of contract" with us so Elche didn't need to Buy him, when it looked like he was going to move there after being nursed back to fitness for most of the season before we "enforced" the additional year option to protect ourselves.

This could of course could all be bollocks as a bloke down the pub told me it.

Just a quick question.

Did you also think the same about Jack Wilshire when he had a 'slight strain' which then ruled him out for 2 months....only for that to then extend to 6 months...then to a year....then to 17 months?

Or is it just because Vicente is a big fish in a small pond that you make a judgment on his character?

Stepping away from Vicentegate for a moment, I think Being Liverpool has been one of the most hilarious comedies of the year.

Brendan Rogers cracked me up with his "inspiring" team talks.

"Go and win the game for yourselves. For your families. And go and win the game for him (points at a nonplussed looking Lucas). He's been out injured for a year but has battled back. Go and win the game for Lucas".

"Football doesn't give you character - it finds out if you've got it"

John Henry in the Liverpool dressing room doing the "do you know who I am ?" routine to embarrassed / disinterested players before a game.

The MD Ian Ayre barrelling around the city in his leathers on an oversized Harley. Midlife crisis ? Not much.

Scousers in general. Just funny.

The MASSIVE portrait of HIMSELF that he has hung in pride of place in his lounge is HILARIO

I thought he came across fairly reasonably throughout, mainly as it just seemed to be one long PR exercise, BUT, you'd have to be a real wanker to want a picture of yourself GLOWERING down over you whilst you went about your business.

Throughout the training sessions and any pep talks, Brendan Rodgers kept repeating "Nice and tight" over and over again.

I found that quite disturbing.

Apparently that was a gift from a charity he donated to/did work for (not sure which)
