Seems a little harsh on first reading - lots of the videos circulating of celebrations on the concourses of the Amex appeared to involve similar.

There were some seriously pissed individuals at that match and just after it we got the news of ID-CHECKS on away ticket holders. Unlikely to be a coincidence.

It was very messy there and certainly no need to chuck beer around but 3 years is totally over the top.

Jesus Christ everyone in the NS Concourse after the Forest game best be banned now. what a complete joke. Banned from football for 3 years! Making them leave the ground is enough punishment, although making them watch the game would have been worse that day. The Club shouldnt just back these it is a complete Joke.

The ban is ridiculous and completely OTT. However 'beer fights' are a dick head thing and I am surprised some lads in their 30s were doing it....

Clubs obviously are well within their rights to prohibit this sort of behaviour.

Nobody wants to stop proper celebrations, traditional singing and some messing about, but a handful of dickheads thinking they can do whatever they like is different.

The fines and bans imposed seem about right to act as a sufficient deterrent to others.

Anyone else starting to think the Northern constabularies have it in for us? 3 year ban for someone who jumped on the net at Lincoln and now this.

Football 2017...

It's hardly a complete joke, what they did was stupid in the extreme, throwing bottles full of beer into the air, and presumably watching them smash on the ground. So some sort of punishment was necessary.

Like most on here though, l do feel that a 3 year ban is very harsh.

Slightly daft behaviour and there were some very pissed individuals at that game, but a 3 year ban ??? Way OTT. No real harm done other than annoying others, should be turfed out of the game and leave it at that.

No more celebrating sportsmen showering poor defenseless cameramen in champers then .

It does seem a bit harsh but chuck beer over the wrong person and it is going to start a mass brawl. It's never happened to me at a football match but it has at the cricket (watching England in Australia) and at many, many gigs I've been to.

The cost of a pint at football would put me of spilling even a drop.

Glass bottles in a football stadium? Yeh ok then.

I dont see anymore need than booting out the ground for making a few people wet with booze.
