David Beckham clashed with two Argentinian players during the 2-1 win against Deportivo La Coruna.

He scuffled with Lionel Scaloni five minutes before the end of the game and both were booked.

Later Beckham revealed details of a row with Aldo Duscher which developed after the Deportivo midfielder asked to swap shirts with the new Bernabeu favourite.

Duscher committed the reckless challenge which broke Beckham's metatarsal bone, almost forcing him to miss last year's World Cup.

Referring to the Scaloni clash, Beckham said: "It was just a clash between two players. The referee asked us to shake hands but for some reason he wouldn't. I had no problems with shaking his hand, though.

"I just found out that he's Argentinian. I didn't know that before the game, but that's now another Argentinian that doesn't like me."

In reference to the altercation with Duscher, Beckham added: "Duscher asked me to swap shirts with him 20 minutes before the end of the game, but I had already promised it to a little boy.

"The referee asked us to shake hands in the tunnel, but he refused. I haven't got his shirt, either."

Madrid lead the Primera Liga by two points after goals from Ronaldo and Raul saw off Deportivo, whose reply came from Walter Pandiani.

Scaloni After Revenge...

Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Lionel Scaloni has continued the row with David Beckham by vowing to take revenge on the Real Madrid midfielder when the two sides meet again in May.

Beckham and Argentinian Scaloni became involved in a heated row during the closing stages of Real's 2-1 win at the Bernabeu on Sunday.

The England captain attempted to diffuse the situation by offering to shake hands but Scaloni was not interested and claimed Beckham's gesture was insincere.

"The referee asked us to shake hands, but I didn't want to," Scaloni said.

"I didn't think he meant it as we wanted to kill each other 10 seconds earlier. I think it's false to offer your hand because we couldn't stand each other.

"He fouled me from behind, we both fell over and threw out a couple of kicks and after that he made a gesture that I didn't like at all."

Depor host Real on May 2 - just over a month before the start of Euro 2004 - and Scaloni has promised Beckham a hot reception at the Riazor.

"There is always a chance of revenge in football and we will see each other again on a football pitch," Scaloni said.

"That is where things are decided and I will be waiting for him in our Riazor stadium for the next game."

Beckham pissed off Scaloni by touching his bollocks in a "disrespectful manner". How do you do it respectfully?

I have to admit when he fronted him with his hands behind his back it was quality. Scaloni was spinning out and couldn't cope with it.

It was just a shame it was right at the end, any longer and we would have seen a few more cards.

Great end to the weekend!!
