Beautiful football

Brighton - In your face
Saturday I watched our team play beautiful football, have chance after chance, hit the bar and post from 25 yards within the space of 10 seconds, steamroller a team from start to (nearly) finish. We have Orlandi who is probably the most tehcnically gifted player in the division and we have the best defence in the league. We have a full bench who would get into most Chanmpionship clubs first team and we have Buckley and Bridcutt, both young eager players who could be around for years.
Stop being nuggets and enjoy the football.

I agree, I love watching our team play. People complain about bloody slow build up, but when we get going. Teams struggle, it's just a shame we aren't smashing them in. I do think we need a plan B, but we also should be encouraging taking shots. Orlandi was desperate for a long range one, and twice came close. Even Painter was having a go (albeit, shocking attempts) but nonetheless, it's a good sign and I sincerely hope the team knows how much Saturday's game means to us, and goes out there with the view to kill. (off the game early, not literally....we won't have a squad due to pending trials)

Correct - can't agree at all with people who say they'd rather dour, boring, negative football and results. What's the point if there's not entertainment?

Slow build up was last season. We're one of the highest this season for chances on goal.

Always positive. Call me stupid, but I'd rather us play entertaining football, play well and perhaps not always get the result we deserve than have to watch us play dour, hoofball and get the winning result.

Not stupid at all. I think people who ONLY care about winning, and nothing about the manner in which we play, are a bit odd.

Flair makes it exciting, if you see kids these days - they look up to players like Messi and Ronaldo, players with natural flair. If we're playing and creating players who replicate Barca, and Real Madrid whilst at the same time being successful, we'll just attract new fans...beneficial in the long term.

I was thinking the exact same thing on Saturday. I love our brand of football and the way teams are having to adapt so as not to get torn to shreds by our sexy skills. It would be nice to finish off more moves but then hitting the woodwork is much harder than that overrated scoring thing.

i would like to see us have more shots from outside the box like on saturday when we hit the post and bar

I believe Mr Saltor may have also had a decent shot from outside the box, I actually preferred his version to the ones that hit the post or bar!

The thing that really gets my juices flowing is that although we can now see the improvement and the entertainment is getting there, we are only part of the way there we are going to get faster and better and you never know we might start hitting the target :)
