Saw them at Wembley in around 74. Brian was ambling about but the arse, Mike Love, was fronting it. They were OK, but Joe Walsh, and The Eagles, were better. Oh and Chakkkka Khan (singing with Rufus ). Stackridge and Elton John were shite. Were you there @monty uk? I would imagine so. NG and PG had rhubarb for StackridgeI saw them when they played at The Dome. In all honesty, it wasn't one of their strongest lineups, and they weren't exactly fantastic.
WELL O/T: Stackridge! Now there's a name I haven't heard for years! Saw them several times at Worthing Assembly Hall. Still got a copy of 'Do the Stanley' somewhere. Bit of trivia: they were the first-ever act on at the first-ever Glastonbury.Saw them at Wembley in around 74. Brian was ambling about but the arse, Mike Love, was fronting it. Surf's Up was one of the four first records I bought (together with Imagine, Aqualung and Electric Warrior). I still have the pristine original vinyl.

I never knew this existed……the wonderful Beach Boys from their splendid Surfs Up album filmed in a place I’m sure you’ll recognise!
p.s. I wanted to post this on the live music thread but wasn’t entirety sure how!
Apologies if fixtures.
