I would hope we'd be established as a strong Championship side, with occasional spells in the Prem by then. In fact I can see that happening in 3 or 4 years if we hold onto Gus - the challenge would then be to hold onto our status when he inevitably goes off to manage someone like Spurs or Chelsea.

I hope we find our new natural level which hopefully will be (with 10 years of Bloom's resources and a fantastic stadium) a top 1/3rd championship side who might occasionally flirt with the Premiershite. Up till now, League One has been our natural home but this season we seem to have stepped up a gear on the pitch and about 8 gears off it. Hopefully the new Academy will start bearing fruit too and producing talent in the same way that Saints, Palace, Middlesbrough, Everton and West Ham have.

I want us to be a strong regional side that are compared equally with Wolves, West Brom, Norwich, Middlesbrough...those kind of sides. Will we get there? Dunno but it's gonna be one hell of a ride.

We are currently a third division club, with a good CHANCE of going up into the second tier. Lets not get carried away, there is still plenty of time for us to f*** this season up. We could well be a League One side next season for all we know. Afterall, Leeds f***ed it up!!

Lets get promotion to the Championship certifiied first before we start getting way above ourselves, or this could be really embarassing.

Obviously hopes of the Champions league is a ridiculous topic at this stage of the season whilst we're in League 1 but, something I am going to put money on is the Albion getting promotion next season into the Prem. This team can only get better and stronger, Poyet wants to take this club places with obvious ambition. I've noticed last seasons 2 automatic promotion teams are both inside the playoff zone of the Championship with millwall 2 positions down. I'm almost positive the current Brighton team is better than all of last seasons league 1 promotion teams. This lot we've got hammering league 1 have also dominated 2 Championship teams in the cup, performances I can see happening throughout next season if and when we're playing in the Championship. If we manage sign LuaLua this summer and keep Bennett, Dicker, Murray and most importantly Gustavo Poyet as well as improving on what we've got, then I'm sure we will be in for another very entertaining seaosn in the Championship. Bring on the Prem!

I have always said to anyone that cared to listen that I thought our natural position was really a decent Championship side with maybe the occasional foray into the premiership and possibly a decent run in the cups once in a while. In fact similar to what palace were like till the last couple of years.
I cannot honestly see that changing at the moment. Although you have to reach for the stars you have to be realistic and we could not really compete comfortably at the premiership level. Granted there's always the odd anomaly - Blackpool, Hull and Wigan have proved this but look at some of the traditionally strong teams - Wolves, West Ham, WBA, Villa, Everton who are all uncomfortable this year. Compete with Aston Villa who can afford to spend £24M on Darren Bent - come on get real !!
