I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it any more.
I've just sat through a lunchtime news bulletin from BBC South packed with useless nonsense about park and ride buses in Salisbury and other trivial goings-on in Romsey, Andover and Southampton.
When they announced a round-up of the weekend's football, I thought I'd just wait to see the 10 seconds of action from Hartlepool before switching off. There was Bournemouth, Reading, P*rtsm**th, Southampton, and ... that was it - no Albion at all.
Surely the time has come to mount some sort of campaign to replace the "local" news (from as far afield as Bicester and Dorchester these days) with a feed from London. I have far more interest in what's happening in the capital than I have in village fetes in Dorset and Berkshire.
Even if you consider anything that happens north of the A272 irrelevant, you might as well sit through an occasionally interesting story from a place you've heard of rather than more tales of the tedious occurences in the villages around the BBC's Southampton HQ. Now that the entertaining tales of woe from Fratton Park have dried up, there's nothing for us on the Fred Dinenage and Sally Taylor shows.
We march on the offices of Ofcom! Who's with me??
