That's fine but should people who buy individual tickets for all home matches be excluded from big games?

If they go to every single game at home then why not use a credit card, the three month spread or just save £10 a week for the next season (that's how I do it) because I can't afford £420 in one go.

There are enough interest free card deals to cover a season ticket payment at cheapest price without paying over the odds.

I have said this before, but at present the fairest system out there is the one the FA use via Englandfans to allocated tickets to away games.

For every away game attended a member is allocated 2 points, so every home game you get one point. Tickets are then allocated as follows;

70% are given to those with the most points who apply, with the other 30% going into a ballot for all those who applied but did not get one as they did not have enough points.

This system means that you reward your most loyal fans, whilst also allowing your more floating fan at least the chance to obtain a ticket.

The Albion I would think could easily employ a similar system. Season ticket holders start the season on 23 points. Non season ticket holders would get a point for each home ticket they purchase. With regards to away travel, if you purchase the ticket in advance you get your 2 points, if you purchase it on the day you then have say 10 days after the game to send the stub in to be allocated your points.

The club already in theory record what you purchase on their system, so it would just be a matter of tweaking the system in place to make this work.

I would also make the AMS scheme one that non season ticket holders have to annually join for say £10, just to get the numbers down a bit.

Follow this link - an interest free credit card for 12 months therefore if you purchase a season ticket with this card you could pay over 9 months and interest free.

What other excuses are there on costs ?

Some people can't pay the money - even if it was over 9 months? Surely you're not THAT short sighted?

No I'm not as I wear glasses :p

Just pointing out to some a method to get interest free credit for a ST.

The crux of the issue seems to be about those away games where no ticket is issued. I suggest the club insist other clubs do it as we provide a ticket for them when they come to Withdean.

Funny :p But really, it's dangerous to get credit cards that claim they have no interest - as if you end up not paying it off fully, you could end up with a massive sting of interest. Also, a lot of people cannot get credit cards, or refuse to!

About the stubs, maybe the club can send our tickets for the away club to hand over if they dont have stubs?

I wouldn,t. Knowing that you,re a regular supporter of the Albion, I would campaign vigorously for your right to a ticket.I cannot see that it would be impossible for the club to have Membership cards for non-season ticket holders. Pay , say, £15.00 up front at the beginning of the season, and get a £1.00 reduction each time you buy a home ticket. Surely , not beyond the realms of possibility for a computer to collate and keep that information ?

A very good idea...and similar to what they used to have at the Goldstone...apart from the £1.00 off or whatever...
