Why has there been no comment on the news today that Falmer has been delayed. According to BBC SCR news no work will commence for at least a year due to finances.

If this is true - and the start will be delayed because of the credit crunch - then thanks very much to bloody Lewes District Council and all to knobs in Falmer for delaying this project so long. Thanks a f***ing bunch.

Perry in todays Argus Letter section said the work on the actual stadium will begin in April 2009. I thought he previously said March?
Because we already know that the stadium is delayed a year. So it's not news.

It was on all this mornings bulletins from 6am through to 11am, said building won't start for at least another year and had an interview with Baker who said if the Albion attempt to change anything from the original planning approval he will start the fight again.

This was mentioned in thye Knight / Perry podcast. It's the road infrastructure that will begin in December.
Baker scaremongering again. Come on, this is not news. The stadium is not delayed because of finance, it's because of the planning applications, and it's not a year, it will probably be April as Perry says.
BBC SCR are notoriously slow on the uptake, the are regurgitating old news because they have nothing else to fill their slots.

I thought road widening was starting in December? Can anyone else confirm. Or has this been delayed now?
As for LDC, bunch of muppets. Yes they are the reason, why our stadium is delayed. It's not Dicks fault or anyones elses.
May be LDC would like to explain why they have lost over £1,000,000 of our money by investing in Icelandic banks. Why dont people get annoyed about this?

And where do you suppose they got their information from about the finance?? If Norman Baker was the only one to comment then you have to believe it came from him, and frankly, I don't believe a word that comes out of that gobshites mouth.

This is what the Sun reported last week, and Perry dismissed it as 'lazy journalism' and 'wrong'.
And if it's someone you're after to really miss the issues regarding Falmer, Norman Baker's your man. Put it this way, neither Lewes District Council, nor Falmer Parish Council are opposing these new applications - so he's on his own there.

There is no new delay. Work on Village Way will begin in December; work on the Stadium itself will begin in April. There is no delay because of finance. The only place this has been suggested before was in the Sun last week. Martin described this as lazy jounalism and wrong. If that was lazy and wrong SCR must be absolutely desparate for news to be broadcasting it without checking. Maybe they don't have sufficient journalists left in their employ to broadcast news rather than fantasy.

This is the same SCR that boldly announced that the decision for the stadium was a "NO". Quite frankly if they told me what DAY it is I'd still check a calender.
