Ideally, things get sorted out quickly and by the end of the season he has invested here. Meanwhile, the team wins League One.

With the increase in funds, we bring in players that help us survive in the championship, and improve again the following seasons to the extent that in our first season at falmer we are in the premiership having won the championship the year before

What? It could happen

But would the ground be big enough?

We'd have to apply for planning permission to get a bigger capacity. How many years would that take?

Couldn't think of a more perfect candidate. Proven track record of responsible and hefty investment, good motives, lots of dosh, and hates Simon Jordan. Ticks all the boxes.

And is also Scallys best mate! Gillingham might be first in the queue!

He said that he was fed up driving 6 hours a day, and the chinese might make him an offer. He came across as a really nice bloke.

But why give up a premiership club for a team in Div 1. No financial sense and Gold didn't get where he is by making financial errors.

I was subject to the usual bile on here from the uberfans when I suggested this was on the cards last year.......

I think he will get involved in the Albion.

I think people like him will see Brighton as an opportunity to buy in at the low end, use Falmer to big it up, and sell off in 5-7 years and make an absolute killing

I have no problem with that provided we benefit during the 7 years and do not lose when it is sold. I dont car if DK or anybody else sells the club for £100m provided we do not lose out and we do not go over old ground again re the terrible 3.

Let's hope he sells after our 1st successful Premiership title defence...well, I can dream!

I worked in Mr Golds house in Surrey and his brother made noises about the club and new every detail about the ongoing falmer saga. They are coming!!!!!

:glare:

Interesting, but presumably they need to be bought out at Birmingham before anything would be able to happen, so that is really in the lap of the gods.

Out of interest, does anyone actually know how much he's worth?
