Only in America. Lifelong Yankees fan Bradford Campeau-Laurion, 30, is suing the NYPD and the Yankees for ejecting him from the stadium last summer. He was trying to use the toilets during the playing of ‘God Bless America’ but was blocked by the police. Knowing this country he will either make a fortune from an out of court settlement or by selling his story to the tabloids.

Watch the grand slam in last night's Yankees game on the MLB site and you can hear plenty of "boo birds" - at least I think that's how the commentator puts it - as he rounds the bases. A brand new billion-dollar stadium and still they're not satisfied...

I went to Washington vs Phillis last night. Washington won 8-2. Really enjoyed it, great night out.

yeay, that Indians smashed the Yankees in the first game at their new stadium, scoring nine in the seventh! Go Indians!

OMG and this afternoon the Tribe stuck FOURTEEN runs on the Yankees in the second inning!

I reckon this is the football equivalent of Sunderland going 8-0 up at Man Utd in the first half

Tend to think that this is the ideal time to have a bet on the World Series, as the teams have all been through the rotation a few times and played both home and away, but the form has not necessarily filtered through to the British bookies.

Managed to back the White Sox at 66-1 a couple of weeks into the season when they won it all a few years ago, despite the fact that they'd absolutely burst out of the traps like a team that finally meant business.

That was with Stan James, who clearly hadn't quite twigged that the season had already started, as the Sox were down to 16-1 and 20-1 elsewhere. And as it happens, the same firm is now one of the very few still going 25-1 about the Marlins (Coral show 33-1 on Oddschecker but when you go to the site, it's really 16-1). Given that the Marlins are 11-1 having already played series against Atlanta and the Mets as well as woeful Washington, I reckon that's a pretty decent bet.

Saw the Tampa Bay Rays lose narrowly to the Yankees last week. Very exciting game. However, this was the day after Tampa stuffed them 15-5 in the Rays first home game of the season. Had the choice of which game to go to and opted for the second day - what a bad decision!

Brighton factually.....
Only ever been to baseball once,And now im a Tigers fan the wifes farther took us to see her home town detroit in Aug 2007 amazing game ...Tigers Trounced the Yankees 16-0.

"The Tigers punished the Yankees 16-0 last night in the final match-up of a crucial four-game series. Starter Justin Verlander was masterful for Detroit, blanking New York and surrendering only three hits in seven innings, while the Tigers pounced on Yankee hurler Mike Mussina for their highest run total this year"

Its a must for anyone, beer, food and a great time even if the atmosphere is a bit contrived and some of the songs are a bit lame ......"we want a pitcher not a belly itcher " ?

I've Speilberged the Marlins - four defeats in a row since I backed them, including giving up seven runs in the ninth last night having been 3-0 up after eight.

Nice to see Boston get a walk-off against Rivera in the Red Sox - Yankees game though.

Ok - here's a few random things I know about baseball.

1 They have fantastic fights when everyone piles off the bench to join in. (Do those still happen?)

2 Boston Red Sox are the team to follow.

3 There's a fantastic writer of short-stories called Ring Lardner. Many of his tales are about pro baseball (albeit in the 30s or earlier) and they are a great read.

Yankess against the Red Sox Part 2 just started at Fenway Park - I can see the Yankees tanking again like yesterday.
