I know pre-season doesn't matter, but even so. :lolol: Doesn't bode well.

Unless Barrow are the new Crawley or Fleetwood and I've missed it entirely.

Taken at face value it really does mean Jack shit. We know absolutely nothing about Burnley's pre-season regime.

No, but I'm sure the Burnley NSC (Northern Simple Chatter) is going ballistic about it all. If we'd lost 3-0 to Lewes, I would have been a bit taken aback. It doesn't overly matter, but winning is a habit. And so is losing.

Played 2, won 2, scored 8. Confidence oozing through our strikers... Complete contrast to last year I believe.

We then made a terrible start to the season. :jester:

I remember the pre-season we went on to win League 1 we played Whitehawk at Worthing and lost 3-1 and Greer on his debut had a total shocker. Pre-season results mean next to nothing.

Oxford beat a strong West Ham team the other day 1-0. Always feels good to keep winning and playing well, but doesn't mean too much come the start of the season

I did apologies, had the Burnley result in my head. however my point still stands.

It does indeed. A loss is a loss, especially to a minnow.

However, I personally don't think it really reflects anything for the season ahead. Its a time for managers to experiment with formations and players whilst working on fitness.

Funny to see Burnley lose, oh yes, especially after the Amex game. Doesn't mean diddly though.

I saw on twitter that season tickets at Barrow are £290-£310 this season. For that sort of money they'll want results like this every week!

Makes our NS and other cheaper STs look like a bargain, even with the travel voucher

Good value when you consider non league clubs like Grimsby Town charge £18 for a matchday ticket.

Friendlies are historically misleading - but I'm still quite pleased with my mob (Bournemouth) stuffing New Milton 13-0 the other night. Well they're only Wessex Lge, but even still 13-0 still gets you all excited, when your head is telling you to calm down...

Going to win the league now, for sure
