Very, I'd imagine. It just proves how well Barnes wants to do for us and how much he cares. In the cold light of day Barnes knows that he was taken off to prevent him doing anything silly. The move was also justified by us winning. So, all in all, not a problem.

It was 0-0 when Barnes was subbed, other than that, I hope you're right.

Gus understands and empathises how the footballer thinks, he's proved that with his comments about contracts this week. If he gives two shits I'll eat my own turd for breakfast tomorrow morning

Exactly how I saw it - nice to see Murray trying to cheer him up as he walked off.

Agreed. I will also add that I see nothing wrong in his reaction - as others have said it shows how desperate he is to win and do well. I'd be very surprised if Gus feels at all differently.

he was through on goal, albeit offside, and got taken out by a defender; he was looking for a bit of handbags after that so I think Gus subbed him for his own good

He was just angry with himself and for letting down his team mates. Thought he had a good first half and his first touch at times was superb.

Great prospect!

Clearly just gutted that he had missed the penalty and felt he had let everyone down. No problem with that tbh.

People who hark back to his reaction at Southampton are nieve as that one was very obviously a time wasting ploy.

He's obviously a very passionate player. Personally, I love it when a player gets angry when he's taken off. Shows how much they care.

Besides, Gus ALWAYS makes a point of having a quick chat whenever he takes anyone off. The personal touch is one of the many, many reasons I idolise our Gus.

I thought he had a good game personally, some good touches and link up play.

In fact, both him and Murray (and Kinsh) had strong games

But who else was sat/stood there in the cold thinking "this is how we USED to play" and came out thinking "that was poor"? Just read the Argus, and how Naylor says it was a 3 out 5 game for entertainment beggars belief.

Yes I know points win prizes at this late stage of the season, but that performance last night was poor, especially by our higher standards this year
