....just found this on YouTube from the last Ashes tour in 2007.

Anyone know the guy in the Albion shirt talking to camera at about two minutes in?

How random I've been looking at these vids and would love to go to cricket with the barmy army!

Do they tend to be at every match - 1 day and all the tests? The hardcore barmy army i mean - like the bloke all dressed in St George...

So many brilliant songs.

I like Your next Queen is Camilla Parker Bowles to the tune of Yellow Submarine, obviously aimed at the Aussies.

Or
"Get your shit stars
Get your shit stars
Get your shit stars off our flag"

:lolol:

And it's just a JOKE, before the Aussie posters start getting the hump

During the last Ashes I was walking down the corso in Manly to get the ferry back to Circular Quay when I met another Brighton fan.
They said to me "do you still sit in H block?" - was that anyone on here?

Just the test matches.

I've been on a couple of tours and it's great fun, the Barmy Army lads can be a bit cliquey though. Also the Barmy Army tours are hideously expensive, best to go independant.

I'm guessing it was one of your sons I spoke to as they were only about 20ish?
I too had my Albion shirt on. :albion1:

I think that video was filmed in Perth.

I am going to the first two tests (Brisbane and Adelaide) this time around :drink:

, guilty, how embarrassing
Had been in the pub with mate about 5 hours before filming started so was fairly pissed as you may have noticed.
Most of the people had just turned up for the days play, but my mate and I had endured 4 and 1/2 days of the tripe, men vs boys type of thing.
So was just venting my spleen.
My mate left me trying to explain the rules of cricket to a Spanish tourist  that's what he says, as I can't remember much.
A couple of pints later I ran out of money but luckily had bought a return train ticket, I knew where the station was and the platform number, so off I went.
Some bloke next to me was getting off one stop past mine, so I got him to wake me up when I got to the station I wanted.
I woke up later in the station car park at about 6.30am to the sound of birds singing and commuters, I had climbed into the back of my ute and fallen asleep.
I then drove home and had to hear another dawn chorus.
Thanks to the poster who said I was 20ish as I was 47 when that was filmed:thumbsup:
Mistaken identity me thinks.
Will be there again this year and have tickets for first four days, lets hope it's better this time.
Some of the members of the team I play for had seen the film earlier and keep yelling at me to 'get yer foot back', whenever I bat.
The new season starts soon here so I will probably have to endure it all over again.

I must admit that when I went in 2002-3 I may have been found serenading the Aussies...

"Three dollars to the pound.
We get
Three dollars to the pound"

Not this time tho:laugh:

And I spotted a load of Albion folk in stripey shirts on a blacony at the MCG in 2002

I was there when it all started in 1994-5, have hours of hi8 beta footage as well...lots of interviews both from the players and the Barmy Army...any ideas on how to get it into a modern format would be gratefully received.

PS: F*** me we are second in the league...
