bannings for homophobia and xenophobia?

Just wondering if you can be banned for either of these offences on NSC? Surely if you can then why have posters like Pork Sword not been banned for some of the comments that he has come out with in recent weeks? His inane bigotry just gets so boring.

I am probably going to get a ban for this myself but it just makes me so annoyed at the prospect of giving bigots a platform to air their views.

You know, I used to sit near somebody at Withdean who spent an entire game shouting "aaaaah, number 134, egg fried rice and prawn sesame toast" at Seol Kyi Heon (sp.) of Wolves. I remember thinking: if there's one thing more embarrassing than a gratuitous racist, it's one who can't even get his abuse right. The player in question being Korean, rather than Chinese, of course.

Similarly, for your information, as any gay gentleman will I'm sure cheerfully inform you, it's "poof", not "puff".

were you the one, pork sword, who said you weren't comfortable sitting next to a black person or was that someone else?

Call me racist but I would not feel comfortable standing next to a black bloke or a Pakistani watching football.

Indians/Bangladeshis etc would appear to be fine

You only get banned on here for asking awkward questions in ask the club!

Mr B

What about if I asked in the "ask the club" section why you were banned.

Is this an "awkward" question and so would I also get banned?? ???

Thanks

If any member has an issue with the content of a thread / post, they need to click on the red triangle and report the post, that way ALL the moderators are made aware and if necessary the correct action will be tken.

As has been stated countless times before, to many people just assume that we all read every post on every thread, that is 100% not the case.

If we see something (or have something reported) explicitly racist then action will be taken.

If you look at most of Pork Sword's posts they just emphasise how idiotic his views are, and end up supporting the counterargument to his bigoted beliefs, so I'm inclined to ignore them up to a point.

But Pork sword isn't real is he ? I always thought he was Johnny Speight's online persona, invented to show the idiocy of bigotry

I think NSC is the most democratic and open message board on the net and should be kept that way. I was on the Depeche Mode board and a thread was closed straight away when a fan suggested they should not play in Israel when they tour this year.

Ironically I was threatened with a ban on a far right site for being a red troll :)
