Why let Pork Sword's comments offend you ? They're clearly the rantings of an idiot, just ignore him. Banning him would just fill him with more righteous indignation.

Mr B

What about if I asked in the "ask the club" section why you were banned.

Is this an "awkward" question and so would I also get banned?? ???

Thanks

No-one gets banned for asking awkward questions. Misusing Ask The Club is another matter altogether.

What is "Ask the Club"?

Seagull, seagulls.co.uk and North Stand Chat are teaming up to launch a new Ask the Club service that will give Albion supporters the opportunity to ask any questions.

You may have a general query: then you can ask the Insider via the link on seagulls.co.uk or via the Ask the Club section on North Stand Chat. Where possible, these will usually be answered within 48 hours. Alternatively, if you have a more specific question for an individual at the club, then you can email asktheclub@bhafc.co.uk or, if you prefer, you can send in your questions by good old fashioned snail mail!

Please use common sense when using this service and posting a question for the club. Those who blatantly look to take the piss will have their posting rights to this forum (or to the whole of NSC, if required) removed.

What is ? - North Stand Chat

But what was wrong with asking if the club were aware it was the transfer window, it's football/club related and to that point there was no evidence to suggest the club were aware?...

Come on ... it's a STUPID question for ATC.

A perfectly valid debating point, though. It belongs on The Big Board.

If we see something (or have something reported) explicitly racist then action will be taken.

If you look at most of Pork Sword's posts they just emphasise how idiotic his views are, and end up supporting the counterargument to his bigoted beliefs, so I'm inclined to ignore them up to a point.

I thought you banned him once?

Generally we let most stuff go, even some of the more extreme views. The theory being that if someone has frankly ridiculous views, then they just display themselves as being an absolute idiot.

If someone goes too far then use the red triangle, alongside every post, to report that post. That way every moderator will receive a message alerting them to that post.

If you fundamentally and consistently disagree with someone else's view then you can put them on ignore, then you never need read their mutterings (other than when someone else quotes them).

All that said, I've got a bit fed up of some of the more extreme views written on here that some posters have been continually repeating and I've written each of them warnings - if I see any more then they will be banned permanently. It's not something I like to do, but if it's for the good of the forum as a whole, then I will do so.

Agreed, I never repeat myself, ever, well hardly ever and must be on around 90% of peoples igniore lists.

So I can quite happily noodle around, musing to myself for an eternity if I so desire.. It's lovely.

Great stuff.

I have never had a warning or a ban

Christ knows how, but me neither. We must be part of the clique.

I'm with El Pres to be honest. The racist and homophobic stuff usually gets a more than adequate retort and the numpties are shown for the ignoramuses they really are.

To be honest. I have been called a racist on here but have never used racist language.

I think, to be honest, you frighten some people with the fact that you can construct a sentence and can actually have a reasoned debate. I understand why people call you a racist (their own ignorance of your views) but then again I get accused of being a Thatcherite lickspittle.

As long as they don't call me a Man U fan, a republican or a northerner I'm not that bothered.

I have just been called a northerner on another thread. Ban them :lolol:

You know, I used to sit near somebody at Withdean who spent an entire game shouting "aaaaah, number 134, egg fried rice and prawn sesame toast" at Seol Kyi Heon (sp.) of Wolves. I remember thinking: if there's one thing more embarrassing than a gratuitous racist, it's one who can't even get his abuse right. The player in question being Korean, rather than Chinese, of course.

Similarly, for your information, as any gay gentleman will I'm sure cheerfully inform you, it's "poof", not "puff".

I wouldn`t bother Edna. This will run for days and you will run out of poof.

just a question but why are there so many snidey grasses on this site always checking if someone should be banned or telling tales oh sir he said so and so ban him? its very embarrassing.

They are the sort who sat at the front of the class and brought in an apple for teacher. Les Biehn started a thread wanting me banned and it became GOLD.
