Is my memory playing tricks on me or did there use to be a full programme of football on August Bank Holiday?

I like that idea, having a bank holiday between Summer and Christmas can't be a bad thing!

Its the second round of the League cup tomorrow and wednesday, so id imagine thats why there hasn't been any football league games today.

The bank holidays we get are spaced out badly. Easter followed soon after by two in May, then one at the end of August. Then Christmas.
