Actually it isn't on their Tour Schedule this time around. The venue I was referring to was the Shepherds Bush Empire. it looks like they are playing smaller venues on this tour

Nothing to apologise about there. Great band. Loads of hits. When 100k sales only just got you into the top 40 aswell, not like that one hit wonder by Seagulls Ska

All the Shoegazing Era Bands of the 1990's seem to have drifted away into obscurity.

You never hear any radio play for Curve, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Lush, Pale Saints or the Boo Radleys, all of whom produced some stonking stuff.

I saw today that Caravan are playing at Ropetackle on 15 March, had completely forgotten about these Prog Rock pioneers.

I haven't. Saw them in 74 at Brighton Poly, later at the Dome, Reading festival, the theatre opposite Victoria station, then 25 years later, at High Wycombe, up in Diss, in London, and more recently, twice in Canterbury. Richard the drummer ran a pub in Faversham, and sadly died a few years back. Morris the roady lives here also (man about town). Geoff Richardson and new boy (for the last 20 year) Jim Leverton lives in a Caravan (ironically) over Oare way (in the precint). Great bass player and mate of Stevie Marriott. Good lad but he can't remember anything about the 60s or 70s. Dave Sibclaire ran a music shop in Herne Bay, but has retired now. Jan Schelhaas was on keyboards again last time I saw them. Cunning Stunts. Cheers!

There is some great 'new' shoegaze. Check out The Soft Moon. Also, Section 25 are still going (the godfathers of shoegaze to dance). And I have picked up some amazing obscure tracks by Modern Eon recently. They were smashing.

Family - I was reading something the other day about Eric Clapton's earlier years, and it mentioned Blind Faith, for whom the Bass Player was Ric Grech, who had previously been with Family.

Their lead singer was Roger Chapman, who had a tremendous "gravelly" voice.
