I do have very diverse taste, though, and have been know to buy albums by the Osmonds, New Seekers, etc in my youth!

Of those mentioned here, I think Jamiroquai are class, Coldplay are not, and a-ha were a one hit wonder in reality.

AC/DC - seems alot of people dont like 'em but I love em!
Bruce Springsteen - People seem to hate or love him but I grew up listening to his stuff and its fantastic.
80's Music - People say its shit...I say its FAB

You say Coldplay are suicidal-sounding (I don't mind 'em, personally) - how about The Verve? or REM? Hide the razor blades when they come on. IMHO.

Alanis Morissette doesn't count as a band but everyone thinks she's shit. Jagged Little Pill was a great LP, and Under Rug Swept was simply brilliant. So what if she's Canadian.

I saw them blown off the stage by Whitesnake at Donnington one year. Greatly overrated IMHO.

Worthy of a slating I know, but went with my ex to Wembley Arena last September and saw.......................Gareth Gates and Will Young (her choice lads, honest!!)

I know they are not a band, but a night that I thought would be truly horrendous wasn't that bad at all, purely because of the performance GG put on....I know the music snobs on NSC (the Chemical man especially!) will be shaking their heads in disgust reading this, but I cannot lie, the concert WASN'T too bad

A-Ha - When they played Cardiff many moons ago, Magna Furuholmen fell over on stage and fractured his wrist. My mate's mum was the nurse who applied the cast at the hospital. Strange but true.
