Bedwetting/Bedwetting: Used on here by so many who think they are clever and original when they use it.

Remoaners: See above.

Not phrases as such but qualify 100% for banality.

I work with a nice enough Canadian guy who doesn't seem able to construct a sentence without 'kinda like...' being included in it somwhere- starting to drive me nuts!

"End of"

End of what? That's not even the "end of" a f**king sentence.

Whenever anyone says this to me I take it literally and end the conversation. Did it in a disciplinary hearing at work, the bloke was completely dumbfounded. It obviously wasn’t the ‘end of’ what he had to say and he was extremely upset when he received a sanction based on the small amount of info he’d given before ‘end of’.

Makes me a bit of a nob too I suppose but I hate the pig headed arrogance of ‘end of’.

It is what it is
I was watching the In The Court of the Crimson King (the relatively recent documentary, not the album) the other day, and there's a bit where Bill Rieflen asks the documentary maker if he's happy with the set up for their interview, who replies "it is what it is". And Rieflin looks slightly exasperated and says "well yes, but it can be something different".

In itself quite a banal exchange, but it really struck me. In context it's lent some gravitas by how they're about to talk about Rieflin's stomach cancer, he died a few months later while they were making the film.
