Wall to wall Christmas for the next month.

Non stop xmas TV adverts, sweaty crowded shops, mobbed town centres and 1/2 hour plus to find a parking space, American style over the top house decorations.

Is the build up to Christmas fun for you?

I hate the build. Even last weekend it took me ages to find a space to park in town, Ended up in Regency Car Park which is well expensive. Grrrr, I might even get my crimbo shopping done early this year.

Or off the internet.

I love Christmas - the commercial hype and nonsense is a bit of a drag, but I love all the family stuff, the kids Christmas shows, panto, winter, snow, etc...

Oh the fake cheerfulness pisses me off. The 'where's your Chrsitmas spirit?' comments from any arsehole that wants you to do something that will make you look a cock:angry:

Massive commercial con, designed to make fat corporate whores even fatter. Top lunch though!

I love Christmas here - beats it in Australia - how can you possibly have Santa and all that snow and big dinner and food when its 36 degrees outside....

so all the stuff in the shops reminds me of how lucky I am to be here!!

The best Christmas's I ever had was when I lived in Australia. Nothing beat a trip to the beach in the morning, then a b.b.q. back at the house, with the back yard covered in artificial snow. The build up plus Christmas day itself didn't have the commercial hype we have to suffer in this country.
Southampton Seagulls description of Christmas in this country echo my views exactly. I HATE Christmas day! Having to spend the whole day with relations trying to force feed too much rich n stodgy food down your neck. Christmas afternoon?.....The great escape?.....James Bond?.....The Queen?....:shootself Christmas spirit??.....Poke it up ya arse! :nono:

me and a friend used to have a good xmas eve tradition for a few years.

we would meet in the pub at about lunch time and have a few pints

neither of us would have bought ANY christmas presents. we casually chat about what we might get our families and then at about 4 o'clock we would wander into town half cut to buy everything in the last hour or so before the shops shut. and do you know what? it made it easier. it was also funny as f*** as we would try and convince each other that say, our mum would LOVE the table mats one of us would be clutching.

i almost wet myself in a&n in guildford once because i came so close to convincing my mate to buy a ladies brush set for his dad. he thought his dad would like a clothes brush and i said if he peeled off the 'for ladies' sticker his dad would never know (like fuk!) unfotuantely i couldn't control my mirth and he turned back at the cashier

i can recommend this form of present buying though. you are forced to make decisions

or you could shop at my shop
