Vicente and cms hold the ball up well as will hoskins,it's easy to say this when Murray was up against many crap league 1 defences.

TOTALLY different players to Murray. Vicent is nowhere near physical enough and won't be helping out in defence. CMS needs to play off a player like Murray not do his job. Try again.

6 goals in 38 last season, minus the 2 against us,it would be 4 goals in 37,certainly nothing special
lower league striker in my view
and the fact that he left us on a free for palace,he can f*** right off
give it a couple of seasons and he'll be back at somewhere like rochdale again

If we are looking for a big number 9 who can hold up the ball well, and has a half decent goalscoring record at this level, how about Barnsley's centre forward?

He managed 12 goals last season, but was in a much weaker team than the Albion, is six foot two and probably not on a big wage, worth a sniff?

Maybe Adgeistein? Or play Buckley next to CMS? Thats the best I could say. Still would prefer Murray.

From what I remember of him, he had an awful touch. Not sure he would fit the style as well.

why would we want a good L1 striker who has hardly set the championship alight if we're serious about promotion to the prem? I don't get it.

Are you referring to Craig Davies? Always thought there was more to come from him and we got shot a bit too quickly.

Didn't help that so many fans turned against him. I rated him too, was just very unlucky to be playing for us when we were dire. Poyet never gave him a game did he??

He was pissed and seeing double. Wouldnt have played 38 games either. His goals per game ratio was more like six in twelve. Have said before we should have done more to hold on to him as he would do a fair old job with CMS.

Once Gus signs the striker of similar quality to his other signings this summer, Mr Murray will be long forgotten...

as a Judas figure and appreciated for what he does best.

Ohh great another sodding Murray Love-In. :ffsparr:

f*** It. Just just get rid of all out players and rebuy all the shit we had to put up with over the years? Hey why not sell the Amex too and move back to the Withers. Sounds perfect to most of you who seem to be stuck In the past.
