Me and Mrs Hut are struggling with Minis homework so this is the question:

What is one third divided by 2 = "something" of one third = "something"

Would someone care to enlighten us thickos with what the two"somethings" are ?

Multiply the top numbers of the fraction together, and the bottom numbers of the fraction together. So 2/3 x 3/4 = 6/24 (1/4) or 3/7 x 1/2 = 3/14. If one of the numbers is greater than one still think of it as a fraction, so 3 = 3/1 and therefore 3 x 2/9 = 3/1 x 2/9 = 6/9 (2/3).

Think of being divided by 4 as the same as multiplying by 1/4. So 1/3 divided by 4 = 1/3 x 1/4 = 1/12
