Backing up your stuff

Potentially, you could lose both PC's to burglary and find some of the DVD's are unreadable. An online backup at somewhere like Flickr would cover all bases.

Or use the Windows Live SkyDrive that I bounced this thread for that includes 5GB of free online storage rather than the 100MB per month free limit of Flickr

Back up everything to a media that is transportable. Then do what I do, put it into a small fireproof safe or box, looks a little bigger than a cash box, but is secure in extreme temperatures. You can also keep documents like passports, insurance documents etc. Loads of sites if you google “fireproof safe small” but this site is pretty good.
