First half we more than matched them. Kept possession, played football and thought Liverpool were poor which suited us. Yes Suarez had a couple of chances but they didn't take them. Lucky goal just before half time and then we pressed the self destruct button with some very poor decision making when in possession. Could all have been different had they not got that second goal and gone in with their tails up. Am I proud of the team? Well to be honest, no. I was proud against Tottenham a few years ago and again at Villa Park. But today, I hoped for a little more, not necessarily a win or even possibly a draw but certainly no a 6-1. Just hope they pick themselves up for Wednesday and Saturday. Will be interesting to see who gets the axe as a result of what Poyet has learnt.

Last but not least, the Anfield crowds of the 70s and 80s would be embarrassed by the plastic reds that attend today.

Shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times, 6-1 was VERY harsh, but no complaints about Liverpool winning. The better team.

Games like this are all about retaining your credibility. Yesterday, we lost all of ours. It was a shambles and reflected poorly on the Championship.
Still, what can you expect when you play a complete and utter buffoon in goal and a striker who cannot control a single ball and bellyflops to the ground at every opportunity.

Too much of a day out attitude from some of the players. Chances were slim to start with but everyone still needs to concentrate and give 100%, some players clearly had the wrong attitude. Thanks to those who did give it a serious go.

I wouldn't say we "more than matched them" at all - I'd say we managed to hang in there in the first half. Yes, we passed very nicely for much of the time, but nowhere dangerous. The less said about the second half the better. 6-1 was flattering, 4-1 would have been a bit fairer, but could have easily been 8-1.

We looked very shallow and one paced. Should have been at least 7-1

My concern all along is we look very one dimensional and lack urgency when needed

Not helped by some players looking star stuck- very unprofessional. I said before the game on NSC that I was unimpressed by the Liverpool love in by some of our players and sadly was proved right. Our scousers were terrible on the day.

Positives- Lua Lua looked very decent and Adam el Abd uses every ounce of his ability. If others had bust a gut like Adam we would not have been humiliated imho.

To be honest, yes it hurts but I thought that for large parts of the game we looked decent in possession and more than matched a strong liverpool team, and when the dust settles, I think that liverpool wiil know that they still have massive problems in that we handed it to them on a plate rather than they comprehensively beat us.
I am still more angry that we messed around with the line up against Millwall for a game that we was probably never going to win and now we have to go to Hull on the back on a thumping.
