Ohhh it's been a while since I had the luxury of creating one of these. Made pretty good time getting back, didn't do too badly on the way up either.

Not a great performance, first half was very shaky but we were unlucky not to go in one up after Murray hit the bar. No doubting that bringing on Barnes and Dicker changed the game and Barnes took his goal extremely well, superb finish. Haven't heard any news about his injury but it didn't look good (albeit from the other end of the pitch), hope he's okay as we could well be limited to just Murray and Sandaza in the striker department come next week.

Also, don't think there is an uglier, chavier set of supporters in League One than Oldham's. One of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen.

Nearly there now, no doubting that this was a huge three points.

Oh, and we saw Alan Pardew at Warwick services on the way home.

Good work getting back, poor game, great result. How Young were that lot giving us stick,

I'm home too and I agree that the subs changed the game. I don't think Bridcutt and Kish play well together although they are both excellent players, a midfield of Bennett, Sparrow, Dicker and Kish or Bridcutt seems a better balance. I was away from the exclusion zone between the fans but the Oldham fans I was chatting to outside the ground and on the bus back to Manchester were decent fans who hate Man U.

Gus said they were denied two clear penalties and our goal was offside! He also said Oldham were the best side we had played this year.

Sounds like we rode our luck, especially those last ten minutes.

Still I will take it!!!

Anyone know for definite how many Albion were up there? Think I heard 572 at the ground but I could be wrong.

Whilst on the subject, "Bring on the champions" before kick off - risky game. As well as that, I fear the Bennett song is already ruined, due to the fact it is overused and today was sung ridiculously quickly.

On page 3 of the official program there is a reduced size copy of page 29, and it appears that Gary Megson is now our manager, unfortunately by the time the real page 29 was printed the proof reader had spotted the mistake.

Just back. Any chance of an atmosphere being created was ruined by the "ultras" singing everything at 200bpm.

Crap game, great goal.

Think it was Dickov who said that!

For our goal I thought Murray was coming back from an offside position, which probably confused the defenders, but he didn't play the ball and Barnes came through onside to score - bit tough on Oldham but not offside. Will be interesting to check on TV if my view was correct

Does this mean than Mr Pardew had been thrown off the team coach?

My view of the goal too, but it's not easy to tell from behind the goal. However, I normally support refs, but that one was an ocean going, world class waste of space.

Can't believe you failed to ask him whether LuaLua would be signing for us in the summer :)

I think you should have pointed out that, as we only lost 3-0 to Stoke and his Newcastle lost 4-0, we are still technically better than all his crappy teams despite the fact he inherited a Premiership squad.
