Only just heard this. Gutted, great guitarist. RIP Paul. Saw him play with Lenna and the Snakeman once.

Raven from Killing Joke went today as well. Suspected heart attack at 46. Not a good day for half decent music.

Saw him a couple of times when he reformed the Ruts tribute band thingy, bloody great live.

Sang "in A Rut" to myself when stranded in Rutland (U.S.A.) in 1999....always remember that moment!

Makes me feel old hearing all this. Saw the Ruts at the Marquee and this remains one of the best gigs I ever went to. The Human Punk record on the first album was recorded the day after. They were an amazing live band!.
Not sure who Raven was in Killing Joke, I think he was the bass player wasn't he? Another good band live. Saw them at the Hammersmith Palais. Used to sit around listening to Requiem whilst stoned out of my head!

Blimey! Saw Killing Joke many a time in Brighton. That Jaz was more than a tad head-mental aye? A veritable JUGGERNAUT of sound. 'Wardance' remains an absolute killer single.

BTW, The Laughing Bluebird, NSC's favourite Cardiff fan, used to be a Killing Joke roadie. Not a lot of people know that. Fewer care probably. Whatever happened to TLB anyways? Dave? You there?

If you like KJ but haven't been following them recently, try their last 2 albums, especially the self titled Killing Joke with Grohl on drums, IMO the best KJ album ever, superb.
