That’s because Irish players under 18 aren’t affected by Brexit. As Ireland is still a member of the EU nothing has changed as far as the freedom of movement EU membership gives them.A number of Irish kids have signed for European clubs since Brexit - e.g.
Cathal Heffernan - AC Milan (although rumours at the weekend that Newcastle were trying to sign him from Milan)

It’s UK clubs that can no longer sign players under 18 from other EU countries unless that player can obtain a British passport like Evan Ferguson could.
