Trains, Post Office etc one out all out, can we have a national week of strike?

Can't believe average wage of cabin crew is 16k, assumed it would be a lot better then that.

I'd imagine most cabin crew sign up for the chance to get paid to fly around the world. Money would be secondary for some of them.

The dispute concerns about 4,000 staff who have joined the airline since 2010 on "Mixed Fleet" contracts, who do not feel they are paid enough. About 2,500 of them are Unite members.
Earnings were advertised between £21,000 and £25,000 but, in reality, start at just over £12,000 plus £3 an hour flying pay, Unite said.

Why on earth would people earning a lowish wage strike knowing they were going to lose much needed wages if it was just 'political gerrymandering'. At least look into why they're doing it before slagging them off.

Base salary is low for cabin crew but they earn a lot of add ons based on where / how they fly. That said the glory days of £50k+ have gone as quite rightly airlines are now having to compete with the Middle Eastern carriers. That said for working maybe 18-20 hours over 3 days and being put up in nice hotels with free food / room service etc is not a bad gig.

They fail to mention the expenses they claim which greatly enhances their pay.
