Away Form and Play Offs

If we stand any chance, which seems to be deteriorating, away form MUST improve. I saw in our last 6 away games we have only got 1 point, that is awful. Got some bloody hard games coming up and away form seems to be costing us.

Realistically, will we get away form together and get play offs?

We have only won one game against the top 9 in this division at home or away.

We won't get into the play offs I suspect, but we are playing better and we have a squad that will be more competitive next season.

Our away form across the season is bad, but in fairness, our form has been picking up in recent games and we've only had one away game in the last six matches.

I'm beginning to think it won't happen. Walsall is a crucial game i think. A good win and good performance could start it off, but with our increasingly hard run of games it will be a task.

I honestly feel, as long as we don't loose anyone important, next season we could be well-equipped to do it.

All depends on weither DW sorts out this lack of supply for the forwards, crosses are an important part of the game when goals are scored as seen against Chelski.
If anyone remembers the home win against Millwall (IMO our best performance this season) we created alot of crosses and were alot wider than we are now.
We have the ability to be in the play-offs but not the tactics.

It is all down to Walsall now. That is the match that will ultimately determine if we can still mount a playoff challenge.

I never expected us to win at Carlisle, and people that did were being VERY optimistic. So with that in mind people shouldn't be too downbeat about yesterday, it was always going to happen.

Walsall however, are a team that we can get something from away. If we win on Tues we are right in the hunt. However if we lose i'm afraid it's probably all over for another season.

Thats what worries me, if we don't go up i'm sure we'll lose a few of our young decent products Elphick, El-abd and Lynch i'm sure would be targets

Our away form this season is bad.We are not consistent enough.
I'm afraid we will miss the play- offs this season.

seem to create chances i mean Murray has had about 10 one on ones in the last 3 games so the positives are that we are creating and we just need a little more cutting edge, i mean i reckon we are going to give someone a good hiding on the road and i suspect that to be either Walsall or Leeds !!!! (i hope), massive away days are Forest Leeds and Southend. We have the abiltiy to sneak into the play offs, Bowditch, Westlake Cox and Robinson can all create chances and our forwards are quality and will cause any back four problems. So many of the teams around us are playing each other in the up and coming games so a couple of wins and we wil be right in there...exciting end of the season ahead i hope !

Young decent products.....Lynch? Have you seen him play this year?? No loss if he goes I am afraid.

He has shown glimpses of talent, even if few and far between. As a fringe player, he's back-up in case of injury - and in our position you can't expect us to have 'talent' waiting on the fringe - we can barely afford that for the first team regulars!

I wish we could have a reliable defender so that el-Abd could slot into the midfield, because we are lacking in that department. He can add some steel and strength in the middle, that it lacks.

no chance of play offs , facts are we are not good enough based on our performances this year. We may do ok next year if we can strengthen the midfield

This away form is an issue. We rarely dominate or turn over anyone 'good' when we play on the road. We also struggle against decent teams at home too.
Desperately requiring a late penalty to DRAW against frickin orient, is unbelievably sad. Practically the same vs Cheltenham, needing a dodgy decision to get the win.
