If you are on the train head to London Bridge and drink down Southwark St or around Borough Market, lots of people drink in the Market Porter. We are going to The Southwark Tavern but there are loads of pubs.

Avoid Bermondsey!

best things to do is find a pub near london bridge to drink in and then get the train one stop to where the ground is. there arent any decent pub near millwall. and if you do find a pub near the ground it will just be full of pikey football factory wannabees...

I shall be disembarking at London Bridge and taking a short walk to the Hornimans, which is a large, pleasantly civilised hostelry on the banks of the Thames just down from HMS Belfast. It does food and stuff as well.

Bollocks to drinking in Bermondsey. Now that really SHOULD be plastic beerglass territory.

We usually get a bit of singing going in the Porter which bemuses the post-office (not the GPO) clientele on a weekday eve. It also has a superb selection of beer and usually some decent eye candy from the trendy-ish south bank employers locally.

Apart from that it has nothing to recommend it.

if you have to be in the locale, The Grange on Grange rd was quite nice, but run down last time i was there. The Surrey Docks is pretty neutral too and handy for the large Tesco car park if you are driving in, though i wouldnt wear colours there (dont think they allow anyway being a Wetherspoons).

but really theres no point when the only pub in London is a train stop away.

The Horniman is a great pub that does a mean fish & chips and has a reasonable range of real ale too! Not sure how they’d react to a football crowd though, however civilised they might be?

Well I'm sneaking a half day from work so I won't be in colours anyway.
I'm likely to be STINKING drunk though, being as I'm knocking off at 11.45 and going drinking in the HEATH beforehand.
