I sat in the Brentford end behind the goal, so opposite ours. I heard 'boring boring Brentford' towards the end, a 'Joel Veltman' in the first half and one 'Albion', that was it. Gather they must have similar acoustic issues as we do at the Amex where sound doesn't travel well.
Surprised you didn’t fall asleep the Brentford fans looked bored shitless with Franks tactical bore fest

A dreary game but continual singing in the away end; a pretty good effort.

Brentford support was piss poor .

Tony Bloom's blue and white army was the chant of the night

So were they singing at your end of the pitch as i can honestly say all i heard were a few " come on brentford " and ironically one " we are brentford we'll sing on our own". Their loudest chant was when they got their one and only corner and the big screen encouraged them all round the ground to sing " come on you reds ".

Atmosphere all round on tv sounded poor .

Heard us a bit at start and couple songs at end. Wasn’t that loud though

Brentford piped up a bit but they were poor too

Much better tonight. Regulars back and no Brentford in our end.
Agree - drowned out the Hey Jude especially

Must be. I think I heard Brentford once all night.

Think practically every player got a shout, even the abysmal JPvH chant.

Brighton factually.....
Atmosphere all round on tv sounded poor .
If you watched on TNT/BT can you confirm if at the start the crowd sounded muted or muffled and at some point around 20minutes the sound suddenly went slightly louder and then faded back to muted, I even checked I had not accidently knocked the sound button.
Anyone else notice that.

They were very poor, I heard come on you reds, or come on Brentford a couple of times.
Having said that, towards the end, I flicked over to the other games, and even at Arsenal who were two nil up and going top of the league the crowd sounded dead.

On the TV you could hear Albion fans throughout. Sounded good! Got a bit quieter as the game meandered on, understandably.

I thought we sounded very quiet on tv apart from a couple of slightly louder ‘Sussex by the sea’ and ‘albionnnn albionnnnn’ Most of the other snippets I could make out, sounded like they were being sung by a very small number of albion fans. Brentford sounded poor too but that was obviously as a result of them offering absolutely nothing and they hardly ever had the ball.

It was quiet at the game, yes. When a chant did arise it was quite dispersed as though the committed singers were all over the place and couldn’t crank up the momentum to draw in the occasional singers.

Other possible explanations — with the train problems perhaps an unusually high proportion of attendees were driving, reducing the amount of collective alcohol consumed. Also, Anfield can be pretty overwhelming at the best of times. After YNWA, there’s a sense of "what’s the point?!" Plus the general pessimism in the air. Out of Europe, struggling to put together a decent run of results, uncertainty over De Zerbi etc. Everyone I spoke to, at the game and at home, assumed Brighton would lose today which didn’t help much. Even after the early goal I think we all felt it wouldn’t last.
