Avatars (images) keep showing up red crosses?

What is it going on? I'm missing my Basil Fawlty picture.....

I'm in the same boat, my avatar has been replaced with a red cross as has several other nscers.

go to profile ,click on forum actions select edit avatar and upload as you did the 1st time
