Anyone else venturing over to Austria for the friendly on Friday?

I am on the Thomas Cook day trip with a few other mates as we all want to be back for the Orient match! We fly to Bratislava then a coach over to Vienna

I see the forecast for Vienna for Friday is a mximum of -2 and a minimum of -7 and snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So as its a 9pm kick off it could be a cold one! Thursday is about the same, so could make for an interesting trip!!

We based ourselves in Salzburg the last time we went to Austria. Did a few of the famous sites from the Sound of music, but we got funny looks when we started dancing round one of the fountain singing "do a deer etc etc etc", all the wedding couples looked slightly miffed at us!!!!! Some of the places they filmed the Sound of Music are the most popular places for wedding couples to go and have their wedding pictures taken - found that a bit sad!!

Glokenspeil square was also a rip off, with bars charging at least double for a drink just to be in the famous square. Didnt do a lot for me!!!!

Salzburg is fab. Great place. Couldn't say a word against it.

Also off to Vienna on Friday with Lady Giraffe. Bit of a bugger about the flight having to go to Bratislava though as this takes at least an hour out of the time in Vienna.

 

[Caravan Club]

We are travelling overnight Thursday on one of the now legendary roadtrips.

Hotel booked in Vienna Friday night and driving home Saturday so consequently no Leyton Orient away trip for us. We are hoping to be in Radio 5 range by the time the Israel v Russia game kicks off.
