Yes, but you have to take the opposition into account. I think August is below average in terms of difficulty.

Yes, but until the season actually starts, we won't know how much we've improved (or not) and which of the other teams have progressed or regressed - last season, for instance, were we not pretty confident of 6 points from Wednesday and Birmingham?
If we actually do have eight points by the end of August, I for one will be pretty happy.
