If you search his name on twitter a load of articles and journalist chat come up all from the last 24 hours. Various posts saying a deal has been done with either us, Villa, Zenit. Who knows whats true, if any. Smells a little like agent stirring to drum up interest.

If we’re going to play 3 at the back then Dunk, Webster, Veltman & Colwill isn’t enough. Makes total sense for us to be grabbing another CB unless we think Turns is ready for the Premier League.

Definitely this. We ended up pretty short on CBs at times last season due to injuries, and since then we've lost BDB, Duffy and Cucu's ability to fill in at LCB.
With the losses, I'd say we needed to add 3 new CBs and a back up LB to the squad to be on the safe side numbers wise. Colwill, Van Hecke and this guy seem to have that covered.

This would give us 5 centre backs, all over 6 ft: two left footed, three right footed, who between them, can cover at both left and right back. Meanwhile Clarke can move on, Duffy's wages are covered and Roberts & VdH can get full seasons on loan. It would get us back to the CB cover we had before BDB left. It seems to make sense.

Yeh, presumably wouldn't do Colwill's chance of getting on the pitch in the league much good either.

I was assuming we’d be signing a left footed centre back with Clarke sold and JPvH to be loaned. He seems to tick the box.
However, I’m not sure how legit the source is?
And we’d be less inclined to develop a player for Chelsea.
